GES 2023 teachers’ appointment letters release date disclosed

The Executive Director of Africa Education Watch, Kofi Asare has hinted the management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) from Tuesday, April 11, 2023 will release the appointment letters of newly recruited teachers.
In a social media post sighted by AcademicWeek, he said the much-awaited teacher’s appointment letters would be released in batches by the Service in charge of recruiting and posting newly trained teachers nationwide.
“I hear GES appointment letters are being issued in batches. Many should be ready from Tuesday. This is a limited ‘critical’ recruitment within a Net Hiring Freeze Policy ‘imposed’ by the IMF,” the education think tank Director said.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Education Service (GES) has entreated the general public mainly recruited teachers to disregard any information on various social media platforms indicating the 2023 appointment letters have been released.
The Ghana Education Service management in a communique said details of the appointment letters at the appropriate time will be communicated to members of the general public through its official social media handles.
But citing the delay of the letters, some concerned individuals on Facebook have urged the Ghana Education Service (GES) to give a deadline or timeline for the release of the appointment letters to qualified teachers.
They say any further delay in the release of the 2023 academic year letters will give scammers and fraudsters an opportunity to advertise the release of the teacher’s appointment letters online to dupe ignorant persons.
