NSS calls on user agencies for 2022/23 service personnel

The National Service Scheme (NSS) is inviting user agencies from both the public and private sectors to submit a request for 2022/2023 national service personnel to be posted to their organizations to start the service year.
In a release copied to AcademicWeek, the Scheme said it’s mandated by the Act of Parliament to deploy graduates from accredited tertiary institutions to support the development efforts of public and private sector organizations.
“The NSS management encourages private organizations that require services of our national service personnel to augment their human resource needs to take advantage of this window,” the Service said in the press statement.
Private corporate organizations, Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs), Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), educational institutions, hospitals, and security agencies, therefore, have been asked to submit a formal request to the Scheme.
Signed by the Director of Corporate Affairs, Armstrong Esaah, the press release indicated requests must be submitted on official letterheads with official addresses, emails, phone numbers and locations of the organisations.
“User agencies are to indicate the number of service personnel required and specify the desired academic or professional qualifications
User agencies that have any special needs are advised to contact the NSS Secretariat for discussions on their requests,” the management of the Ghana National Service Scheme (NSS) stated in the statement dated August 3, 2022.
After releasing the NSS personnel pincodes for the enrolment of the 2022/2023 service year, the NSS management has urged all user agencies to submit their requests to the National Service Scheme before Friday, August 19, 2022.
