NTC announces 2023 teacher licensure exam re-sit subjects fees

The management of the National Teaching Council (NTC) says resit Ghana teacher licensure examination (GTLE) candidates will pay from GHȻ 150.00 to GHȻ 385.00 as the 2023 teacher licensure exam re-sit subjects fees.
In a blog post sighted by AcademicWeek, the National Teaching Council said Candidates who are re-sitting a paper are to pay GHȻ 150.00, GHȻ 210.00 for two (2) papers and GHȻ 385.00 for (3) subjects or papers.
“Candidates who wrote the Ghana teacher licensure examination but were unsuccessful in some papers may register to re-sit. They are to apply online at exams.ntc.gov.gh and complete the application form for the licensure exams
Payment can be made at any branch of Prudential Bank Ltd nationwide or with Mobile money. Payment can also be made through the shortcode 77251# across all networks,” the National Teaching Council (NTC) stated in the blog post.
The first phase of the 2023 re-sit Ghana teacher licensure examination according to NTC will be administered from May 4 to May 5. Candidates on May 4, 2023 will sit for Literacy and Essential professional skills and Numeracy on May 5.
“Due to the GTLE reforms implemented this year, the Council has given three chances to candidates who are associated with the traditional GTLE (Essential Professional Skills, Literacy and Numeracy) to redeem themselves,” NTC stated.
How to register for 2023 teacher licensure exam re-sit
1. Visit the GTLE resit registration portal
2. Enter examination ID
3. Re-enter the examination ID to confirm its correct
4. Select your Disability status
5. Enter your Serial number
6. Enter your Pin
7. Click on the Submit button.
The Council has entreated all teacher licensure examination (GTLE) candidates to keep their PIN and Serial number secured after registration for the licensure examination resit for further use after the examination.
The purpose of the licensing examination is to enable qualified teachers to acquire a professional licence and prepare teachers to meet the demands of the National Teachers’ Standards of possessing the minimum knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes necessary to deliver effectively in schools.
