Primetime signs 3yr-deal with GOIL PLC as NSMQ headline partner

Producer of National Science and Mathematics Quiz (NSMQ), Primetime has signed a deal with state-owned Ghanaian oil and gas marketing company, GOIL PLC (GOIL) to be a headline partner of the national competition for three years.
Primetime at the launch of the 2023 edition of the NSMQ disclosed GOIL will also sponsore the ‘GOIL Riddle Bonanza’, ‘GOIL Super Bonanza’ and ‘GOIL Double Champion’ Awards of the National Science and Mathematics Quiz (NSMQ)
The Managing Director of Primetime Limited, Nana Akua Asare, in her address at the NSMQ launch recalled the three decades of the programme, saying that it had achieved major milestones, capturing the hearts of many Ghanaians.
The Public Relations Manager of GOIL, Robert Kyere, on behalf of the Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the company, noted that the company was taking the new partnership seriously.
He explained that the decision to sponsor was part of efforts to contribute to the unearthing and nurturing of young scientific minds to promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education.
The spokesman reiterated that oil and gas marketing company (GOIL) was pleased to be a part of such a transformative programme, changing lives and opening wider learning opportunities for Senior High School students.
The company’s aim, Robert Kyere added, stemmed from its commitment to support educational development in consonance with Sustainable Development Goal Four, of promoting quality and inclusive education.
In other news, more than five private Senior High Schools (SHSs) in the country have been selected by Primetime Limited to compete in this academic year’s edition of the National Science and Mathematics competition.
In a social media post sighted by AcademicWeek, Primetime Limited said the seven private Senior High Schools will officially compete from the preliminary stage of the upcoming 2023 National Science and Maths competition.
“2023 National Science and Maths Quiz will have seven private schools officially compete from the preliminary stage of the competition,” the organizer of the national competition for Senior High Schools said in the social media post.
The schools are; Hope College, Louis Rutten Senior High School, Otoo Memorial Senior High School, Regentropfen Senior High School, Sonrise Christian High School, S.t Andrews Senior High School and Wallahs Academy.
