WAEC gives update on ‘examination question papers’ serialisation

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) following the conduct of this year’s School examinations says it had only serialised examination question papers for some subjects in 2023 WASSCE to curb the possibility of questions leakage.
In a blog post sighted by AcademicWeek, the Council said it as part of measures to ensure the smooth conduct of the 2023 national and international examination will move question papers from Strong Rooms to Depots in batches.
“Additional depots for Basic Education Certificate Examination and West African Senior School Certificate Examination have been created for the storage of confidential materials to ensure that the depots are located close to the exam centre,” it said.
