WAEC official website goes offline ahead of 2022 WASSCE

The official website (https://waecgh.org) of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) responsible for the conduct of the international and national examinations in the country is currently down due to the expiry of the domain name.
Speaking to AcademicWeek on Friday, a staff of the Council said the management of his outfit is working tirelessly to ensure the website is back online. He indicated the downtime is not a result of an attack on the site’s server or a hack.
“The management of the West African Examinations Council is aware of the downtime and we are working to resolve it as soon as possible. A notice on the website says the domain name expired on 2022-06-21 at 08:32:09” the official said.
Despite the offline status of the non-profit-making organization (WAEC) official website, other subdomains on the Waecgh.org including the BECE Private registration portal and WASSCE Private registration portal are online and active.
In a related development, the Ministry of Health nursing admission website for interested applicants seeking to pursue various health programmes to submit applications is back online after maintenance and upgrade and maintenance.
“The Ministry of Health application portal shall go down from Friday 20 May 2022 to Monday 23 May 2022 for an upgrade and short maintenance,” the management of the Ministry of Health (MoH) announced on May 19, 2022.
But, a staff of the Health Ministry has said the 2022/2023 nursing admission online website is currently online and responds to the process thus students can visit (healthtraining.gov.gh) to complete the application process.
Asked if there would be an extension of the deadline for interested applicants to submit the 2022/2023 academic year application, the official of the Ministry said no such decision has been taken by the management of his outfit.
The Health Ministry in a statement said the 2022 online admission portal to receive applications from qualified candidates into public health training institutions will be opened from Monday, May 16, to Friday, July 29, 2022.
“All purchased vouchers are valid up to August 5, 2022, if not used. No postage envelopes are required as all correspondence will be via SMS or E-mail,” the Ministry in charge of Health (MoH) said in a press statement.
