MoE opens 2022/23 STEM schools selection placement portal

The Ministry in charge of Education (MoE) has opened the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) schools selection placement portal for students who sat for the 2022 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

In a statement shared with AcademicWeek, the Education Ministry said the STEM placement portal gives access to the list of new STEM Senior High Schools 9SHSs) included in the 2023 school selection and placement process.

Aside from the list of the 21st century Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) second cycle schools, the Ministry said the portal also provides information on available STEM programs and their career pathways.

“It gives further details of existing Senior High Schools that would be offering STEM programs during the 2023 academic year,” the statement signed by the Public Relations Officer for the Ministry of Education (MoE) stated.

Students with an interest in pursuing strictly Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) programs have been encouraged to visit https://stem-ssp.com.gh to select their preferred schools and corresponding programs.

According to the Ministry of Education (MoE), prospective students’ selection of the public STEM Senior High Schools at the STEM schools selection placement portal will take precedence over their initial school selection.

1. Visit https://stem-ssp.com.gh

2. Enter your first name

3. Enter your last name

4. Enter your index number

5. Enter your phone number

6. Enter your password and

7. Click Register

How to login to STEM-SSP to select school

1. Visit the STEM placement portal

2. Enter your student ID (Phone or email)

3. Enter your used during-registration password

4. Click on Login to be redirected to the STEM school selection dashboard
