MoE PRO Kwasi Kwarteng files nomination to contest A. A North constituency seat
The Public Relations Officer for the Ministry of Education, Kwasi Kwarteng has successfully filed his nomination to contest for the NPP parliamentary primaries in Asante Akyem North Constituency of the Eastern Region come January 2024.
Kwasi Kwarteng’s nomination form filing comes after he late this year announced to contest in the upcoming New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary primaries on January 20, 2024, aspiring to represent the Asante Akyem North constituency in Parliament.

“This isn’t just about me; it’s about all of us. Your support fuels our campaign for a unified, prosperous constituency. Join us on Friday, 22nd December 2023, at 9 am at the NPP Office in Agogo as we embark on the first step towards a brighter future,” the Education Ministry spokesperson said in a social media post ahead of his form filing.
Profile of Kwasi Kwarteng
The leading member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwasi Kwarteng was appointed to serve as the communications director for the Ministry of Education (MoE) in President Akufo-Addo’s second term of government.
The communications specialist replaced Hon Vincent Ekow Essafuah, who served as the spokesman for the Ministry led by former Minister for Education, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh in the first term of the government of Nana Addo.
He holds a Master of Public Administration from KNUST, a Bachelor of Education in Health Sciences from UDS, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Environmental Safety from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration.
In addition, Kwasi holds a certificate in Public Relations from the Institute of Public Relations Ghana. Kwarteng is also currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration
At the students front, Mr Kwasi Kwarteng served as the National President of the University Students Association of Ghana; the mother umbrella of all university students in Ghana from 2017 to 2018.
Among other roles, he also served in other capacities on the National front as a member of the Ghana Youth Federation Committee at its initial establishment.
