Primetime gives date to launch 2022 NSMQ after WASSCE

The 2022 edition of the National Science and Mathematics Quiz (NSMQ) will be launched on October 3, 2022, along with the balloting of contents for the preliminary stage, the producer for the competition, Primetime has announced.
In a social media post sighted by AcademicWeek, the Quiz organizer said “Bring out your textbooks, dust your old school uniform and sweeten your jama voice with some honey because it’s almost that time of the year again.”
Slated for next Monday at 3 pm, Primetime indicated the launch and balloting for the 2022 Science and Maths Quiz competition will take place at the Ghana National Association of Graduate Teachers (GNAT) new conference hall, Accra.
After the balloting process, the producer of the NSMQ says the preliminary stage of the national quiz completion will commence from October 10 to 13, 2022 and October 15 to 18, 2022 for the One-eight stage.
Quarterfinals it stated will begin from October 19 to 21, 2022 with semifinals on October 23, 2022. The grand finale of the National Science and Mathematics contest Primetime said will be held on October 26, 2022.
“All roads lead to Kumasi in October! This year, all contests from the Preliminary stage to the Finals will be at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST),” the NSMQ producer stated in a blog post.
Below are the seeded 27 public secondary schools to participate in the forthcoming 2022 edition of the National Science and Mathematics Quiz (NSMQ). The venue for the competition is yet to be announced by Primetime.

Ashanti-Region-based Prempeh College last year beat all Boys’ PRESEC and Volta-Region-based Keta Senior High School (KETASCO) to win the 2021 edition of the National Science and Mathematics Quiz (NSMQ).
The College secured 53 points to win the contest while the Legon-based Presbyterian Boys Secondary School had 49 points and Keta SHTS, the first school from the Volta Region to make it to the final, had 30 points.
This is the fifth time the popular Senior High School in the Ashanti Region has won the Science and Mathematics quiz. They were crowned winners of the PrimeTime-sponsored competition in 1994, 1996, 2015 and later in 2017.
