WAEC blocks WASSCE results of 4,878 students over school materials
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has blocked the results of 4,878 students who sat for the just-ended 2023 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for failing to return learning support materials supplied to them by their schools.
WAEC in a statement sighted by AcademicWeek.com said such students are to contact their completed Senior High School for necessary arrangements on the release of their WASSCE for School results.

“Candidates are to note that West Africa Examinations Council results are secured and can be authenticated using its results verification system. The WAEC QR code can be downloaded and used to verify results,” WAEC said in the post.
A total number of 448,674 candidates made up of 212,453 males and 236,221 females from 975 public and private Senior High Schools entered the examination. This figure is 5.8% higher than the 2022 entry figure of 422,883.
The 2023 edition of the WASSCE for School Candidates commenced on Monday, July 31, 2023, with the Visual Art Project work. The international examination administered at 834 examination centres ended on September 26, 2023.

1. Visit the WASSCE result portal
2. Enter your Index number
3. Select Examination type (WASSCE School)
4. Select Examination year (2023)
5. Enter your Date of birth (day-month-year)
6. Enter your voucher card serial number
7. Enter the PIN on the voucher card
8. Re-enter your Index number and
9. Select Examination year (2023)
10. Click on the Submit button and wait for your results to be displayed in the next window.
