Jo Koy’s full name is Joseph Glenn Herbert Sr. Apart from being a stand-up comedian, Jo is also an actor. He was born on June 2, 1971, in Tacoma Washington, United States. A regular pundit on E!’s late-night show Chelsea Lately, he has several Comedy Central and Netflix specials.

He is of mixed race with his being father American and his mother Filipino. He often cites his mother as an inspiration for his acting and comedy chops. Jo Koy began his stand-up in the 90s performing at a comedy club in Las Vegas and others.

He has also been involved in charity donations specifically when he teamed up with film producer Dan Lin to raise a $75,000 donation to the nonprofit Search to Involve Pilipino Americans (SIPA).
