Dr Sameul Atintono was informed of his restoration as a Senior lecturer in a letter dated June 8, 2022, which stated that ”the reconciliation committee among other findings established that you were wrongfully dismissed.”
“I, therefore, write on behalf of governing council of the university to reinstate you as a senior lecturer. “You will be placed on the appropriate notch/step of the salary scale attached to your post.
“Do not hesitate to contact me for any further assistance you may require to enable you to settle as quickly as possible,” the letter, which was copied by the Pro-vice-chancellor and 13 other senior officers of the university said.
The letter directed Dr Atintono to report to the Principal of the College of Languages Education in Ajumako, “Who will reassign you your duties and inform us of your resumption of duty.”
In a comment on his reinstatement, Dr Atintono expressed his happiness, adding, “I am happy that justice has been done to the issue to relieve me of the psychological pain and trauma that I have endured for all these years.”
Elated Dr Atintono in an interview with the Daily Graphic newspaper expressed gratitude to all those, “who stood by me for their prayers and support saying “I stay committed to contributing to education in the UEW and Ghana.”
