CSSPS reveals BECE ‘SHS/SHTS/TVET’ placement checker card cost

This year’s computer school placement checker card is estimated to be sold for not more than GH¢20.00 however the price may be increased or decreased if need be, an official of the Computerized School Selection Placement System (CSSPS) has told AcademicWeek.
The CSSPS official said any change in the price of the school placement e-voucher which can be used unlimited times by a single student will be communicated to prospective 2023 BECE graduates and the members of the general public.
Declining to give the actual date his outfit will release the 2023 computer school placement, he urged Junior High School students who sat for this year’s BECE to remain calm as the school placement in the shortest time will be out.
According to him, adequate measures to ensure students who passed the national examination administered this year get school placement have been put in place by the Ministry of Education (MoE) and Ghana Education Service (GES).
Asked what will prevent a 2023 BECE candidate from being placed in any public second cycle school to benefit from the Free SHS policy, he said students who had grade 9 in English Language or Mathematics will not get placement.
How to buy school placement checker card
1. Go to the CSSPS checker page
2. Click on the BUY NOW button and you will be redirected to the checkout page
3. Enter your billing details, thus First name, last name and email address
4. Select your preferred payment method to complete the transaction
How to check school placement at cssps.gov.gh
1. Visit the CSSPS portal
2. Click on check placement
3. Enter your Index number
4. Enter your 10 digit E-voucher pin and
5. Enter your 5-digit PIN code
6. Click on Proceed and wait a few minutes for the next window to display your school placement.
How to do self-placement at cssps.gov.gh
1. Visit the CSSPS portal
2. Then select the check placement module on the left-hand side
3. Enter your BECE Index Number (eg. 100000000023) and
4. Enter your 10 digit E-voucher pin and
5. Enter your 5 digit PIN code
6. Click on Proceed to be redirected to the self-placement module
When redirected successfully to the Self-placement module, you will be provided with a selection of schools to pick from based on the aggregate or grade you had in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
7. Choose carefully your desired second-cycle school
8. Choose your residential preference (Day/Boarding).
9. Select your programme of choice
10. After doing all the necessary checks, confirm and print. Remember that once you have completed the selection process it can not be undone or changed
