CTVET releases 2023/2024 May/June Certificate II exam timetable

The Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET) has released the 2023 timetable for the May/June Certificate II examination for final-year students of Technical and Vocational Training (TVET) Institutes
Slated to be conducted from Monday, July 10, 2023, through to Monday, July 17, 2023, candidates per the timetable will commence the national examination with Mathematics and complete it with Social Studies and Entrepreneurship.
Over 30,000 students from 161 TVET institutions are to participate in the 2023 edition of the Certificate II examination to be conducted on July 10, 2023, by the Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET).
Speaking at a press briefing, the Director-General of the Commission, Fred Kyei Asamoah said the total number of candidates to write the May/June Certificate II Core Subject examination represents over 20,000 males and 8,000 females.
Mr Kyei indicated that there would be multiple versions of the same set of questions with different placements on the question paper adding that his outfit looks forward to increasing the number of versions of questions to 24.
“For this year, we are starting off with eight different versions of the exams, we hope that in the coming years, we will increase it to as much as possibly 24 versions. In that case, so if you have a classroom of 24 learners and a classroom of eight learners, each of them will have a different version of the exams.
As we started earlier this year, we have encouraged all instructors, learners and institutions to put much effort into learning in the classrooms to make sure they are competent enough,” the Director General of CTVET noted.
The Minister for Education, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum as the May/June Certificate II Core Subjects examination begins has encouraged prospective candidates sitting for the national examination to put out their best and pass successfully.
