GES announces CSSPS portal to verify SHS selection choices

As part of measures to ensure the successful placement of 2022 BECE students into their selected second-cycle schools, a computerized school selection and placement system (CSSPS) portal has been created for them to verify their school choices.

The CSSPS portal (https://csspsverify.com) the Ghana Education Service (GES) in a statement shared with AcademicWeek.com said will be opened from January 14, 2023, through to January 23, 2023.

“We wish to inform students, staff, parents, guardians and stakeholders that this year’s school placement exercise begins with verification of students’ school choices,” the management of the Education Service said in the release.

According to the Ghana Education Service, the verification process ensures accuracy in students who sat for the Basic Education Certificate Examination choice information before they are placed in their selected second-cycle school.

“Students, parents, and guardians will receive an SMS message from CSSPS which contains web portal csspsverify.com and USSD short code number *899*88# with 4 digit token number,” the Ghana Education Service (GES) stated.

“Students who may have errors in their initial selection should call 0556541525 or click on the edit button available in the https://csspsverify.com after their selection details are displayed with a copy of the original selection form,” it said.

Alternatively, the management of the Ghana Education Service says students who may have errors in their initial selection can send an email with a copy of the original school placement selection form to cssps2021@gmail.com.

Barring any last-minute changes, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Education, Kwasi Kwarteng has said the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) January 19, 2023, will release the 2022 BECE for School results online.

3. Re-enter your Index number to confirm its correct

4. Select the Exam type

5. Select the Exam year

6. Enter your serial number found on the scratch card and

7. Enter the PIN found on the scratch card

8. Check the captcha box and click on submit button

Administered for both Private and School candidates, the 32nd Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) examination began with Social Studies on Monday, October 17, 2022, and ended on October 21, 2022, with French.
