GES postpones primary 4 students 2022 Standardised Test
The conduct of the public and private primary 4 students 2022 National Standardised Test earlier slated for December 15, 2022, has been shifted to Friday, December 16, 2022, the Ghana National Council of Private Schools has said.
In a statement copied to AcademicWeek.com, the Private Schools Council said the postponement of the basic four students’ national examination date is to address all registration challenges before the administration on Friday.

“All schools registered for this national exercise (those on time and late) will be administered, therefore all registration challenges are being addressed before the administration of the on Friday,” GNACOPS said in the press release.
The management of the National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS) continued that “all schools already on vacation must arrange with parents for the affected pupils to report to school on Friday to sit for the Test.”
In another story, the Ghana Education Service (GES) after postponing the conduct of the primary four students’ 2022 National Standardised Test has shifted the vacation date of government basic schools from Thursday, December 15, 2022.
In a press release shared with AcademicWeek, the management of the Education Service said the third term vacation of the 2022 academic year for public basic schools has been postponed to Friday, December 16, 2022.
The 2022 third-term vacation extension it said is to allow prospective primary 4 students in private and public basic schools across the country to sit for the 2022 edition of the National Standardised Test (NST).
“This is to enable primary four pupils to write the National Standardised Test on December 16, 2022. The reopening date for the first term of the next academic year is January 10, 2023,” the GES management said in the statement.
The Ghana Education Service added “Regional Directors are kindly requested to communicate this information to the Metro/Municipal/District Directors of Education to inform all Heads of Basic Schools to take note and act accordingly.”
