MoE re-uploads BECE 2023/24 Senior High Schools selection form

The Ministry of Education (MoE) after it deleted the 2023 Senior High Schools selection form from https://freeshs.net has reuploaded the computer school selection form online, AcademicWeek.com can confirm.
The 2023 schools selection form an official of the Education Ministry in an interview with AcademicWeek said consists of two sections aimed to make the selection of second cycle schools understandable and not complicated.
“The new schools selection form has two sections thus, 1st placement school selection form where students are required to choose 6 schools and 2nd placement school selection form which requires them to select 5 schools,” he said.
The MoE official indicated that the updated or new Senior High School selection form can be downloaded from the Free Senior High School (Free SHS) Secretariat official website https://freeshs.net or at https://academicweek.com.

3. Click on the Download 2023 school selection form to download the 2023 school selection form
A total of 600,714 candidates, comprising 300,323 males and 300,391 females from 18,993 Junior High Schools (JHSs0 sat for the 2023 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) which ended on Friday, August 11, 2023.
With regard to the 2023 BECE for Private Candidates, a total entry figure of 1,743 candidates was recorded. This is made up of 889 males and 854 females. This year’s figure is 5.4% higher than the entry figure of 1,132 for 2022.
The 2023 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for School Candidates was held at 2,137 examination centres across the country, while 15 centres mainly in the regional capitals were used for the BECE for Private candidates.
