NSS gives date to release appointment letters for 2023/24 posting
We will release appointment letters for the 2023/2024 academic year posting from October 10, 2023, the management of the Ghana National Service Scheme (NSS) said in a social media post sighted by AcademicWeek.com.
The appointment letters come after the National Service Scheme (NSS) released a total of 142,381 final year students’ pincodes to enable them to enrol to commence their mandatory national service for the 2023/2024 service year.

The general enrolment pincodes however do not include individual defaulters who have applied to be enrolled on this year’s national service. The Ghana Service Scheme says their pincodes would also be released soon.
In a statement copied to AcademicWeek, NSS said all prospective national service personnel from Tuesday, August 1, 2023, can access their pincodes with their index numbers and the Date of Birth of the Schemes website.
“All eligible service personnel are to visit NSS.gov.gh and then proceed to any Agric Development Bank (ADB) Ltd. branch nationwide to make payment of GH¢40.00,” the management of the Service stated in the press release.
Alternatively, the Service Scheme says personnel can resort to MTN mobile money (MoMo) to make payment for the pincodes to lessen the frequency of human interactions at the banks amid the locally transmitted disease (Covid-19).
“For individuals who will activate their Personal Identification Numbers (PIN) codes using MTN mobile money, payment of GH¢41.00 is required. All personnel are to complete their enrolment by Monday, August 19, 2023,” NSS added.
“Management urges accredited tertiary institutions that are yet to submit their supplementary final year lists, to do so as soon as possible, to enable the Scheme to process them also for enrolment for the 2023/2024 national service
All eligible final year students are advised to ensure that they personally complete the enrollment process to avoid errors that may subsequently affect processing for their deployment,” the National Service Scheme added in the release.
