The West African Examinations Council says it will release 2022 withheld WASSCE results after the conclusion of an investigation into suspected cases of examination malpractice, an official of WAEC has told AcademicWeek.com
The investigation process the staff of WAEC said will not take longer than 31 days however he indicated in some cases, it does take longer as the West African Examinations Council has not specified any date to release the WASSCE results.
“When your results are still withheld after an abnormal period of time you may be called to the WAEC office in your region or at the WAEC-Ghana headquarters in Accra to make a statement concerning the exams malpractice,” he said.
According to him, some withheld results of candidates are released one week after the conclusion of the investigation adding that “but in some cases, it takes a longer period of time depending on how serious the malpractice is.”
Meanwhile, the non-profit-making organization following a directive from the Ghana Education Service says some 8,486 students who sat for the Ghana version of WASSCE will not be able to check their 2022 WASSCE results online.
