WAEC gives update on 2022 withheld WASSCE School results

The management of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) says it will publish timely updates on this year’s withheld WASSCE School results on its official website https://www.waecgh.org at the appropriate time.
In an interview with AcademicWeek.com, a staff of the Council said the not-for-money-making organization has included a withheld results-checking feature on the homepage of its website to update students on the issue.
“The withheld results checking feature has been added to the website to give timely updates to candidates who according to WAEC allegedly engaged in examination misconduct and have had their results not released,” he stated.
Asked when the West African Examinations Council will release 2022 pending WASSCE results, the WAEC official said after a thorough investigation into the suspected cases of examination malpractice, the withheld results will be out.
After releasing the 2022 West African Senior School Certificate Examination, the Council said some 8,486 students who sat for the Ghana version of WASSCE would not be able to check their 2022 WASSCE results over misconduct.
In a statement shared with AcademicWeek.com, the management of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) said such candidates failed to return learning support materials supplied to them and/or destroyed school property.
“Following a request from the GES, the results of 8,486 candidates who failed to return learning support materials supplied to them and/or destroyed school property cannot be accessed online at the Council’s website,” WAEC said.
