GES introduces SHS programme to nurture students musical talent

The Central Regional Education Directorate of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has introduced a transformative initiative dubbed ‘’Central High School Band and Music Festival’ to nurture Senior High School students musical talent.
In a blog post sighted by AcademicWeek, the management of the Education Service said the new programme aims to unearth and nurture musical talent that can provide students with personal satisfaction and fulfilment.
“It seeks to foster healthy and progressive relationships among the Central Region Schools. The maiden edition was held on September 23, 2023, at the Cape Coast Stadium. It was under the theme: ‘’Strengthening Bonds Among Students,” it said in the post.
The participating Senior High Schools the Ghana Education Service (GES) had the opportunity to exhibit their skills in the stipulated categories, namely, dance band, regimental band, and brass band.
