Richard Appiah Kubi, the Head of Operations at Free Senior High School (Free SHS) Secretariat has resigned as Afigya Kwabre South New Patriotic Party’s 2nd Vice Chairman to contest as a Member of Parliament in the Afigya Kwabre South Constituency.

He was the 2020 New Patriotic Party (NPP) Ashanti Regional campaign team member, serving on the polling agents recruitment and training committee.
The Head of Free Senior High School (Free SHS) Operations also served as the Youth Organizer and Constituency Elections and Research Officer for Afigya Kwabre South.
He was at a point in time Polling Station Secretary and TESCON Organizer at KNUST. For 12 years, Richard Appiah Kubi served as the Assembly Member for the Nkukua Buoho electoral area in the Afigya Kwabre South Assembly.
In a related development, the Public Relations Officer for the Ministry of Education (MoE), Kwasi Kwarteng in a social media post sighted by AcademicWeek.com says he is preparing to become a Member of Parliament of Asante Akyim North Constituency.
The spokesperson in his bid to become a Member of Parliament said he is set to donate a National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA) approved textbooks worth GH¢500 thousand to schools in the Asante Akyim North.
“Over GHC 500k worth of NaCCA approved textbooks ready to be donated to schools in the Asante Akyim North by incoming Member of Parliament – Kwasi Kwarteng, PRO of Ministry of Education,” the MoE official said in the post.
The leading member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwasi Kwarteng was appointed to serve as the communications director for the Ministry of Education (MoE) in President Akufo-Addo’s second term of government.
The communications specialist replaced Hon Vincent Ekow Essafuah, who served as the spokesman for the Ministry led by former Minister for Education, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh in the first term of the government of Nana Addo.
