NTC sends message to 2023/24 GTLE candidates over dress code

The management of the National Teaching Council (NTC) ahead of the conduct of the impending Ghana teacher licensure examination (GTLE) slated for December 15 and 16 has urged GTLE candidates to dress appropriately.
In a discussion with an AcademicWeek Editorial Staff, a staff of NTC said candidates to partake in the national examination for teachers dressing should be formal with no bathroom slippers popularly known as ‘chalewote.’
“The deadline for the GTLE registration is November 18, 2022. The candidate’s dress code should be formal with no bathroom slippers. Mothers are not encouraged to come along with babies to the centre.” the NTC official stated.
Asked why the Ghana teacher licensure registration portal is still not open despite the claim registration for the second phase of the GTLE has commenced, he said his outfit by the close of the day will open the GTLE registration portal.
“The second phase of the 2022 Ghana teacher licensure examination will be conducted on December 15 and 16, 2022. The closing date for registration is November 18, 2022, which will not be extended,” the NTC staff told AcademicWeek.
