WAEC gives deadline to release 2022 BECE School results

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) after the conduct of the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) is expected to release 2022 BECE School results within 75 days, a staff of the Council has told AcademicWeek.com.
The WAEC official who spoke to AcademicWeek on condition of anonymity said the release of the results of candidates who sat for the national examination will pave way for the release of the computer school placement of the students.
“After ending the conduct of the 2022 BECE for School on October 21, 2022, the Examinations Council is expected to release the examination results within 75 days, after that the computer school placement will be out,” he stated.
The non-profit-making organization (WAEC) this academic year administered the Basic Education Certificate Examination to two groups of BECE candidates (School and Private) for the first time at the same period.
A total number of 552,276 prospective candidates made up of 276,988 males and 275,288 females from 18,501 Junior High Schools (JHS) participated in BECE for School Candidates (SC) at 2,023 centres throughout the country.
In respect of the BECE for Private Candidates, a total of 1,132 candidates made up of 634 males and 498 females sat for the private examination. The examination was taken at 15 selected centres, mainly in the regional capitals.
