WAEC ‘issues disclaimer’ on BECE private and school results

The management of the non-profit-making organization (WAEC) after releasing the 2022 BECE private and school results online has issued a disclaimer indicating the results hosted on https://eresults.waecgh.org are provisional.
“The results given are provisional, the final results are those which will be printed on your certificate,” a disclaimer on the results slip of a student who sat for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for School stated.
But explaining the examination results disclaimer to AcademicWeek in a discussion, an official of WAEC said the released 2022 BECE results are accurate and not fake as claimed by some students and members of the general public.
“Last year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) private and school results that have been released online at https://eresults.waecdirect.org are genuine and will be changed later as widely speculated,” the Council staff noted.
A total of 552,288 candidates made up of 276,999 males and 275,289 females registered for the school examination. Out of the total number of candidates who participated in the examination, 4,309 candidates were absent.
The Council has cautioned all stakeholders to be wary of fraudsters who promise to upgrade results for a fee. “Candidates are to note that WAEC results are secured and can be authenticated,” the non-profit organization said.
