WAEC reopens offices ahead of 2022/23 BECE results release

Ahead of the 2022 BECE results release, the management of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) after a break for last year’s Christmas on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, reopened its offices across the country.

The reopening of offices comes after the non-profit-making organization( WAEC) in its 2022 season greetings message sighted by AcademicWeek.com said it will open for normal business on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at 8:30 am.

Following today’s nationwide reopening of offices for business, the Examinations Council is expected to release the 2022 BECE for School results in late January 2023 or mid-February 2023 online at https://eresults.waecgh.org.

In a discussion with AcademicWeek, an official of WAEC said the waiting duration for the 2022 BECE results release has been extended from the usual 45 or 60 days to 75 days amid the impact of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19).

Considering the new timeline he said the management of the non-profit-making organization (WAEC) is expected to release the 2022 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) results in late January 2023 or mid-February 2023.

“The West African Exams Council is expected to release the BECE School results within 75 days after the conduct of the national examination. The 75 days results waiting duration is amid the outbreak of coronavirus (Covid-19)” he said.

4. Select examination type (Eg BECE School)

5. Select examination year (Eg 2022)

6. Enter your serial number

7. Enter your PIN

8. Verify the captcha and click on submit button for the window to display your BECE results.

Administered for both Private and School candidates, the 32nd Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) examination began with Social Studies on Monday, October 17, 2022, and ended on October 21, 2022, with French.
