WAEC updates 2022/2023 WASSCE result checking process

The West African Exams Council has updated the WASSCE result checking process to make it easy for students who sat for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination to check their results at https://ghana.waecdirect.org.

Scheduled to be released on November 30, 2022, the non-profit-making organization (WAEC) says the 2022 WASSCE for School results can be accessed online only at https://ghana.waecdirect.org and not https://eresults.waecgh.org.

In a discussion with AcademicWeek.com, an official of the Council said “the WASSCE School result portal this year has changed to https://ghana.waecdirect.org instead of https://eresults.waecgh.org used to check the results in 2021.”

“Just as always, they will have to enter their index number, examination type, year, serial number and pin on the scratch or voucher card and then confirm their index number and examination year again,” the WAEC staff noted.

How to check your 2022 WASSCE School results

1. Visit the WASSCE result portal

2. Select the Type of Examination (WASSCE).

3. Select your Examination Year (2022).

4. Enter the Serial Number found on the Voucher.

5. Enter the 12-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your Voucher eg. 012345678912.

6. Confirm your Index Number and Examination Year. (This is to ensure that your examination information is correct)

7. Click on Submit and wait for the display in the popup window. This may take several minutes.

A total of 422,883 prospective candidates made up of 203,753 males and 219,130 females from 673 public and 304 private Senior High Schools (SHSs) across the country participated in the just-ended 2022 WASSCE for School.

A total of seven hundred and seventy-five (775) centres were used for the examination. Sixty (60) subjects, comprising four (4) core and fifty-six (56) electives were made available to prospective candidates to choose from.

The 2022 edition of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination which commenced on Monday, August 1, 2022, with the Visual Art Project Work options ended on September 27, 2022, with ICT Paper 3 Practical.
