Registration for 2022 GTLE 2nd phase not opened – NTC
The management of the National Teaching Council (NTC) has denied reports indicating the registration for the 2022 (Ghana teacher licensure examination) GTLE 2nd phase has commenced on its official website (exams.ntc.gov.gh).
In a communique sighted by AcademicWeek, the Teaching Council said the date for the registration of the second phase of the 2022 teacher licensure examination at the appropriate time would be communicated to the public.

“Registration for Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) 2 for 2022 is not yet opened. The date for registration will officially be communicated. Kindly ignore all false publications in this regard,” NTC stated in a social media post.
Meanwhile, the Minister for Education, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, said National Teaching Council (NTC) in December will conduct the second phase of the Ghana teacher licensure examination (GTLE) for the 2022 academic year.
Speaking on the topic “Education for the next generation” on Twitter monitored by AcademicWeek, he said, “the licensure has not been cancelled the next conduct of the 2022 teacher licensure examination is in December.”
Adutwum’s comment comes after the National Teaching Council responsible for licensing teachers has released the provisional results of prospective candidates who sat for the first phase of the licensure examination for teachers.
“All candidates can check their results from the NTC online portal at exams.ntc.gov.gh by using either their pins given during registration or their examination index numbers using their phone numbers,” the Council stated in a blog post.
It also entreated candidates who participated in the just-ended first phase of the 2022 edition of the national teacher licensure test to print their provisional certificates after checking the GTLE results at https://exams.ntc.gov.gh.
